Marion, SC: Beneteau, one of the largest builders of powerboats in Europe, recently introduced its newly designed Flyer 12 model at European shows. The Beneteau Flyer 12, truly a part of a new revolution in boating, will debut this fall at the Newport Boat Show in September and the United States Powerboat Show at Annapolis during October.
The Flyer 12 features an entirely new hull design developed by the Beneteau design office in partnership with Volvo PentaŽ. An evolutionary planing hull combined with Volvošs breakthrough IPS propulsion system makes the Flyer 12 a remarkably controllable and exceptionally quiet ride in even the most demanding conditions. With twin 310HP Volvo IPS diesels, her name is aptly chosen, for she certainly flies across an ocean. In extensive testing with the most demanding journalists aboard, the Flyer 12 has proven to impress even the most critical with her agility and security. There is no doubt that anyone would also feel a strong sense of safety and stability, whether cutting through big waves or maneuvering in tight turns.
This large "Sport Cruiser" brilliantly joins the pleasure of luxury and the feeling of strength through a manufacturing system mating sophisticated structural grids with the finest materials. Luxurious items for construction have been selected according to the tradition of prestigious yachts: sumptuous leather, bright stainless steel, lustrous hardwood, sumptuous fabrics all highlighted by a highly polished finish.
One will appreciate the panoramic view through a wonderfully curved, molded safety glass windscreen and the incredible light allowed by a unique, grand sunroof which opens at the touch of a button. So it is not without a feeling of awe that someone will appreciate the driving position, which can be "plein air" or securely enclosed, surrounded by superb quality equipment and impeccable finish. And the Flyer 12 incorporates all the features necessary to ensure that life aboard, whether fishing, cruising, or simply enjoying the sun, will be sheer pleasure. A hide away galley, dual staterooms, terrific owners and guest heads, strikingly beautiful lines, and welcoming cockpit are a few of the features to be found on the Flyer 12.
Beneteau has a rich history of building engine driven vessels for almost 100 years.
